When I was approached about rebranding One Day, a mobile app startup that is looking to change the way people captured memories, I wanted to create something that was bold, vibrant, and conveyed the feelings people have had with using the app. Given that they were still early on in their product development, I also wanted to make sure that the final brand was flexible enough to carry the company long into the future.

Developing a brand that grows.

 

From the outset, it was important to remember that although at the time One Day was a startup, the final brand needed to be able to grow with them as they grew.

This thinking led me to reduce everything down to a single, simple wordmark that would represent both where they were at then, and where they wanted to go.

From concept to completion. 

Once I applied a few different color treatments to the finished lockup, I started to play around with different ways I could riff off of the simple play icon in the "o". After launch, the team at One Day did a great job of building and extending the brand in ways that I didn't even imagine were possible. It was great to see them embrace the new look and really make it their own.
